“Apollo 8” was the first manned space flight of the American Apollo program. But a trip to Lake Mondsee also needs heavenly rooms: the apollo ACHTQUARTIER at the Lake Mondsee, fittingly also with eight rooms. And as with the moon mission, two worlds have been combined here. Three rooms are in a completely rebuilt, listed building, five in a modern new building. What all eight rooms have in common: A cozy atmosphere, charming details, exclusive furnishings and fantastic views of Lake Mondsee. There is also a sauna, a heated outdoor pool with lake view, a private bathing area – and the good feeling of having landed in the right place.

The year-round heated infinity pool with counter-current jets, massage loungers and finnish sauna with mirrored panoramic window are on the same level as your room. When can I have breakfast?
Hotel guests can have breakfast in the AUSSICHTSDECK restaurant daily from 08.00 to 12.30.
When can I check in and out?
Can I park on site?
Yes, for house guests there are 8 exclusive parking spaces directly in front of the house (also 4 e-charging stations), for day guests there is an abundance of public parking spaces 2 minutes’ walk away.
Is there a private lake access?
Yes, the hotel is located directly on the shores of Lake Mondsee and offers hotel guests a private sunbathing lawn with bathing jetty. In addition, our infinity pool on the roof is open to hotel guests all year round.
What is available in the wellness area?
A year-round heated infinity pool with counter-current jet and massage benches, a Finnish sauna with mirrored glass and lake view, outdoor loungers, all protected from view and with a unique lake and mountain panorama. The wellness area is open from 08.00 to 20.00.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the apollo ACHTQUARTIER boutique hotel and in the AUSSICHTSDECK gourmet restaurant indoors. However, dogs are welcome in the restaurant outlets LANDEPLATZ, MONDFLECKERL and in the AUSSICHTSDECK on the terrace and in the bar area.
Is there a restaurant?
The apollo offers a wide range of dining options:
The apollo MONDFLECKERL restaurant serves traditional Austrian tavern cuisine, while the apollo AUSSICHTSDECK restaurant offers a contemporary interpretation of local cuisine combined with global flavors, each with indoor and outdoor areas. In the warmer months, there is also the outdoor kiosk apollo LANDEPLATZ, where snacks and cool drinks are on offer.
Can I have the food delivered to my room?
Yes, this is possible in the apollo AUSSICHTSDECK and apollo MONDFLECKERL establishments, but not in the apollo LANDEPLATZ outdoor kiosk.
How can I travel by car and public transport?
Arrival by car via the Westautobahn (A1) exit Mondsee, then turn left towards Mondsee Süd, then turn right towards the lake. The large parking lot is free of charge.
Arrival by train/bus: Straßwalchen train station – 14 km to Mondsee (public bus) or Salzburg main station – 30 km to Mondsee (public bus).
Arrival by plane: Salzburg airport – 30 km to Mondsee (public bus, please change at Salzburg main station).
Are there rooms with a balcony?
6 out of 8 rooms have a spacious lakeside terrace with sun loungers and seating.
Do all rooms have a lake view?
Yes, all our rooms have a unique lake view of the Mondsee and the surrounding mountains Schafberg, Drachenwand and Schober.
Is there free wifi?
Yes, free W-LAN is available to our guests. You will receive your access data on arrival.
